Crime Prevention Tips

• Don't leave anything of value in your car.

• Lock your vehicle. ​

• Trim back any shrubbery around your property.

• Light up your yards and entrance ways. Consider motion-detection lighting.

• Keep your doors and yards locked.

• Consider investing in an alarm system and cameras. 

• Consider your trash.  Do not leave boxes for new electronics or other valuables on your curb.​

• Get to know your immediate neighbors. Be familiar with what type of vehicles they drive. Get their phone numbers.  

• Have packages delivered to a neighbor when you are not home.

• Report neighborhood crime issues to the NOPD.
